Welcome Stacy O’Steen to Supposed Crimes!

C. E. Case Blog

I’m pleased to announce our newest author, Stacy O’Steen. Stacy comes to us from the large state of Texas, where she runs around taking care of various friends and working hard. I [Adrian] met Stacy almost two years ago for the very first time during a NaNoWriMo write-in at my favorite bar. We hit it off right away, and it’s hard to imagine that over two years has passed.

Stacy is very passionate about what she writes. She’s always been someone who is upbeat and ready to take on the world, but writing and putting her thoughts into words is something she passionately does, and it’s not always quiet. Our writing group was often one of the loudest tables in a bar filled with people.

Endless Days of Summer is Stacy’s debut novel that she wrote for NaNoWriMo in 2013. I remember because she took advantage of one of NaNo’s awesomness and got a print proof of it and carried it around for weeks. She could still be carrying it around. Endless Days of Summer is a story about coming of age, about coming to one’s self and about finding out the perfect way to be authentic in a world of societal pressures.

Struggling to cope with the reality of her decision to live away from home, Penelope Van Buren is thrust into college life head first with nothing to break her fall. It’s a whirlwind once her dorm mate convinces her to leave the room. Penelope finds friends in LGBTQA club but when the questions start flowing through Penelope’s mind she realizes she’s been wrong about so many things.

Seeing the world around her with new eyes, she analyzes an old relationship that may turn out to be even more than she thought it would be.  In the end, Penelope needs to do what would make her happy. The problem is she can’t seem to figure out what that is.

Trigger Warning: Sexual Violence

Stacy’s first novel is due to be released July 1 of this year! Make sure to keep your eye out for it.
