Supposed Crimes is seeking graphic artists for cover art design. Artists would be primarily designing typeography and cropping stock images or pre-approved art work. Artists must have experience managing font licensing. Experience with Adobe Illustrator a plus. Mind reading required.

Scribd Shuts Out Romance Writers

"Scribd, which offers an unlimited library of books, ebooks and comics to users who pay a monthly fee (a la Netflix or Spotify), released a letter explaining that because the company pays publishers 'retail-level margins' for their books, it would have to scale back its library to accommodate its business model."

Our books are in Scribd. This doesn't affect us much at Supposed Crimes, because romance novels are not the same as gay romance novels, but it's interesting. Romance, spearheaded by Harlequin, headed the charge into eBooks, and definitely doesn't get enough credit for it.
