It's the start of a new school year, and fall is just around the corner. Here are some of the bigger news stories from the last few weeks, plus a bit about our new release.
First, and most importantly, India's top court decriminalized homosexuality. This is an important step in demolishing old colonial laws, which makes it a victory in more than one sense. You can read more about it here and here.
Second, Walmart has entered the ebook competition by partnering with Kobo. There's even an audiobook subscription available. How will this play out against Amazon? Only time will tell.
It's now official. Authors got their notice of the CreateSpace and Kindle Direct Publishing merger. Like with Walmart ebooks, it remains to be seen how this affects authors and publishers in real time.
