Amy LeibowitzI'm going to get a little personal here as I wrap up our Pride-themed month. I hope many of you were able to attend festivities (or will be able to; in my city, Pride is next month).
When I began writing seriously in 2013, I had no intention of publishing. I just wrote a novel to see if I could, thanks to National Novel Writing Month. I ended up with 50k words of what would be my first published book. It wasn't meant to be LGBTQIA+-themed, either. Let me tell you, I was...

Christy CaseSupposed Crimes has just nominated its 2016-2017 catalog for the 2017 Rainbow Awards. This is a great opportunity for books that were overlooked by reads to get new recognition. Several books this year are deeply literary -- others are fun genre romps. Fingers crossed everybody!
The submissions go with a donation to Time Out Youth, a local charity here in North Carolina.
One nomination this year is free to read right now: Seoul Circuit, by Tamara Boyens.

Christy Case
Wonder Woman is getting a lot of buzz, but our author Geonn Cannon would tell you Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is where it's at. Talk at the office is split between Spider-Man and Thor. Personally, I'm going to wait for Dealpool 2 next year and prepare myself to be disappointed in Captain Marvel.
We don't publish comic books, but we love comic books, and summer movies can be like comic books on steroids—good and bad. But we're just going to drink some wine.
