2018 in Review

Amy Leibowitz coming soon new releases news year in review

It's been a heck of a year! We're winding down, getting ready for 2019 and whatever it has in store for us. Here's a look back at some of the great stuff.

New Books

We released ten new titles in various genres, including an anthology:

Can You Hear Me? by Geonn Cannon (February)

Surrogate: Hunted (Surrogate #2), by Jeanne G'Fellers (March)

Crimson Realm, by Brandon L. Summers (April)

Appetizers (short stories), by Geonn Cannon (May)

The Power of Two, by Leigh Vining (June)

Kennel Club (Underdogs #7), by Geonn Cannon (July)

Upstaged!, anthology (July)

Drumbeat (Notes from Boston #3), by A.M. Leibowitz (September)

For a Glance (Serpent's Throne #1), by Dan Ackerman (October)

Trafalgar & Boone and the Children of the Burnt Empire (Trafalgar & Boone #4), by Geonn Cannon (November)

In the News

We had some ups and downs, for sure. The political climate in the U.S. is pretty hostile these days. But there's some hope, and our young people are coming together in new ways to create change.

New and Returning Authors

We've brought in some new names for our bookshelves. Our summer anthology drew in several people just for that. We gave a warm welcome to Leigh Vining in June with her debut novel. Althea Blue returned to us for our performing arts anthology and now has an upcoming release for 2019.

Tips and Tricks

We talked often about the writing process this past year, offering helpful advice for newbies and veterans alike.

Women Who Love Women

One of the things I love most about our books is that they more often than not center women. How cool is that? This year, we highlighted some great books, talked about how books featuring men tend to dominate, and recommended giving lesfic a try.

There's no telling what 2019 will bring, other than more great books. You can see the release schedule here, and you can check out the Coming Soon page for books releasing in the next few months. Happy reading and writing, and welcome 2019!
